their 2025 Experience to Cuba
“Due to popular demand, the moments, memories and fun that we shared in Cuba, A Taste of Salsa are planning another trip to Cuba, ‘provisionally’ departing UK on 23rd November 2025“. Get ready for our Cuba ’25 Experience!
This time we will be travelling to the eastern region of Cuba, to the area considered as the ‘Músical and Cultural‘ capital of Cuba.
First stop is the city of Santiago de Cuba, where for the first week, we will have opportunities to get innately familiar and comfortable with the city acknowledged as the heartbeat of Cuban dance, music, food, tradition and much more.
Second week we travel onwards to the city of Holguin, known as ‘City of Parks‘, and for its beautiful beaches and historical Cuban architecture & monuments.
These locations are located approximately 870km from Havana, and not too far from Guantanamo Bay (So please behave yourself or else!).
This will be an exciting, engaging, memorable, and fun-filled two weeks of A Taste of Salsa Cuba 2025 experience.
The first week, we will travel to Santiago de Cuba (Known for its vibrant music, traditional for Cuban rituals, and culture), where we will reside in Hotel Casa Granda (Location, location, location… presenting a panoramic view of central square, from a wonderful overlooking terrace).
The second week we travel to Holguin (Known for its incredible beauty, and first & foremost, its beaches). This will be a relaxing, and also, entertaining beach based stay at the Sol Rio de Luan y Mares (4* All inclusive) resort.
Cuba '25 In Summary
First Stop Santiago de Cuba
Santiago de Cuba is the ‘Heart of Cuba’ (Capital of Son Cubano, home of Salsa and birthplace of Trova), and known for its vibrant nightlife.
Week one, we will be staying in the Hotel Casa Granda, strategically located in the historical city centre, right next to Cespedes Park, Heredia street and the Velazquez Balcony. This week includes;
- Santiago de Cuba city tour + Lunch
- Tropicana Cabaret Santiago de Cuba night
- Casa de la Trova social night
- Local bar/club nights hosted by our DJ’s & local DJs
- and more activities announced at a later date
Week Two the City of Holguin
Holguin is known for its architectural harmony, beautiful white coral sandy beaches, and turquoise waters. You will also find a variety of natural parks that enhance the city.
Week two is a relaxing (whilst entertaining) beach resort-based stay at the Sol Rio de Luan y Mares (4* All inclusive) resort. This week includes;
Holding Deposit (Fully refundable) of £100 secures your place
Pricing
The price is estimated at ~£2250 per person – based on two persons sharing a room.
For single occupancy, the price is estimated at ~£2,525 per person
Currently we are unable to provide a guaranteed price until the flight prices are announced. There is a possibility that the total price could go up or down slightly. For this reason, we offer a full refundable deposit. If the price goes up significantly or your circumstances change, and you want to cancel your booking, you will receive your £100 Holding Deposit back.
Lessons Learnt
Based on some of the feedback and lessons learnt from Cuba ’23, we plan to improve the Cuba ’25 experience as follows:
- To ensure nobody misses out on any of our unique experiences – we have Included a few key activities & tours to the Cuba ’25 experience package.
- Keeping us all close & cosy (Yet enabling us with enough room to do our own thing) – all of our A Taste of Salsa guests, will be staying in the same accommodation.
- Avoid some of the flight booking issues we faced – we will use a different flight carrier. We are currently planning to fly from London Heathrow via Frankfurt to Frank Pais International Airport in Holguin, Cuba.
Provisional Date

Leaving Cuba, Sunday 7th December 2025
The provisional dates listed above may change (we expect by no more than one or two days earlier or later). This maybe due to changes by flight carrier(s), to optimise pricing, or availability of a direct flight, etc.
The ‘Final‘ dates will be confirmed ~November/December 2024.
Please Note: If the final dates are not viable or there is a change in flight costs; you can ‘simply’ notify A Taste of Salsa that you want your Holding Deposit returned, and your Holding Deposit will be returned with no further questions asked.

There are currently no direct flights from London to Cuba (Holguin), resulting in needing to schedule a flight with a transfer. We are currently expecting to fly from London Heathrow via Frankfurt to Cuba (Holguin).
We will consider a direct flight, if a route(s) becomes available at a later date, before we finalise our flight bookings. We expect to finalise the flight booking during October/November 2024.
The first week we will be staying n Santiago de Cuba at the Hotel Casa Granda (Breakfast included). This is one of the city’s most famous hotels, it offers all the modern comforts, and it is located fabulously!
The second week we will be staying in Holguin, Playa Esmeralda beach front, at the highly recommended 4* Hotel Sol Rio de Luan y Mares resort (All inclusive).
We will be adopting the approach used previously.
- Initially we request for a full refundable deposit (Holding Deposit) of £100, to secure your place
- When we finalise the flight information and subsequent bookings (sometime around November/December 2024), you have the option to continue with the holiday or request return of your £100 Holding Deposit. (Please note: Holding Deposit can be returned any time prior to making your full booking deposit)).
- If you wish to continue, we will request a further £150 to secure your holiday booking. At this point the £250 (in total) deposit is converted to a non-refundable deposit (Booking Deposit).
- (If requested) We will establish payment plans allowing you to pay (Monthly/Quarterly, etc.) the balance of the holiday. Alternatively you can pay the Travel agent directly
The Holding Deposit will be made via Monzo bank payment., using this method no money transfer charges are accrued and the full deposit can be paid back if requested.
Limited Availability – For the Cuba ’25 experience we will only be offering a limited number of places (numbers yet to be decided). Priority for places will initially go to Cuba ’23 and SALSOGA ’24 travellers.
Following the previous great service provided by Love Cuba, we are pleased to advise that we will be working once again with the Love Cuba team on to provide our travel agency and Cuba travel consultancy services for our Cuba ’25 experience.
