Welcome and thank you for interest in our A Taste of Cuba ’25 experience (Holiday).

This page will provide all the details on how to secure your place, and the essential information that you need to know regarding our A Taste of Salsa Cuba ’25 full refund deposit – referred to as Holding Deposit.

We have provided some key information that we believe it is important and for you to be aware of before paying your Holding Deposit.

Payment Process Overview

We have decided not to automate our Holding Deposit process (to minimise bank charges, and thus enable us to return all of your deposit, if you so wish). Our payment process requires you to make a ‘standard’ Internet bank transfer from your bank account to ours. Our bank account details are provided at the bottom of the page.

Holding Deposit - Payment Details Overview

The places for the Holiday will be allocated to A Taste of Salsa Cuba ’23 & SALSOGA ’24 travellers first, and then on a first-come first-served basis to invited people. The holiday will subsequently be made available to a limited number of guests.

  • The purpose of the Holding Deposit is to hold (allocate) your place(s) on the Holiday until 14-days after the Booking Deposit payment date has been announced (i.e. when we know all of the final details).
  • The Holding Deposit will be returned to you upon request (within 24 hours) or can be used to offset against the payment required for the Booking Deposit.
  • It is expected that the Booking Deposit payment date will be announced between late October 2024 to early November 2024.

Booking Deposit - Overview

The purpose of the Holding Deposit is to reserve a place on the Cuba ’25 experience (Holiday).

  • The Holding Deposit is a sum of £100 per person.
  • The Holding Deposit is fully refundable, and can be converted to Booking Deposit or refunded.
  • The Holding Deposit is paid directly to A Taste of Cuba.
  • Initially Holiday places will initially be allocated to previous Cuba ’23 and SALSOGA ’24 travellers
  • The remaining Holiday places will be allocated based on a first-come first-served basis.
  • We will limit the number of places available for the Holiday.

An overview on the key booking details are as follow:

  1. It is estimated that the final total sum for the holiday package will be ~ £2250 per person (2x persons sharing).
  2. The Booking Deposit will be paid to the ABTA bonded travel agent (i.e. Love Cuba).
  3. Cuba ’25 holiday places will be allocated to guests that have placed a Holding Deposit first.
  4. If there is a short fall on the number of places taken up by guests these places will be offered to prospective guests that did not retain or submit a Holding Deposit.

Booking Deposit - Payment Details Overview

  • The final amount for the Booking Deposit will be determined by the travel agency.
  • The Booking Deposit payment date will be announced by A Taste of Cuba within 48 hours of us being notified by the travel agency.

It is expected that the Booking Deposit payment date will be between October to November 2024.

Final Balance - Payment Overview

  • The Final Balance payment will be paid directly to the ABTA bonded travel agent.
  • Final Balance payments can be made in instalments directly to the travel agent.
  • The payment of the Final Balance will complete your holiday booking. This does not include any additional holiday related payments (such as flight upgrades, excursions, etc.)

It is expected that the Final Balance payment date will be between August 2025 to September 2025.

Single Bookings

  • There will be a limited number of single person accommodation places available.
  • There will be an additional price supplement for single person accommodations bookings.
  • If there are insufficient rooms available to meet the single person accommodations demands and the single-guests are not able to share a room with another single guest (thus resulting in there not being a place available for the guest) their deposit may be eligible for refund.

Bank Transfer Details

We strongly recommend the following practice:

  1. Initially pay a small “random” sum of money (for example £2.17) using the bank account payment details provided by A Taste of Salsa (see below).
  2. Complete the Holding Deposit booking form provided in step 2 (below).
  3. You will receive an email from AToS team confirming your micro-payment (small). This will confirm from A Taste of Salsa that the amount that they (we) have received matches the sum of money that you have paid out.
  4. Pay the remaining balance using same details (i.e. the Payee bank accounts that you just validated).
  5. We will then confirm receipt of the total payment to you.

That is to say; if you are making a micro-payment (small sum verification payment), please enter the 'actual' amount that you have have paid, and not the total Holding Deposit balance (e.g. £100).

We use a WhatsApp group as our core method of communicating 'Topical' A Taste of Salsa (AToS), SALSOGA '25 and Cuba '25 related updates, events and activities information to our travellers. We generally do not permit Jokes, wellness, non-AToS related advertising, etc. type content on this group.

We use your email address to send essential documentation, and to notify you of any official A Taste of Salsa communications.

Also note: We do not pass your details to any third party without your implicit consent.

Travel Insurance

We also ‘strongly’ recommend that you take out travel insurance as soon as you pay your Booking Deposit (note that is to say the non-refundable deposit, and NOT upon payment of the Holding Deposit (Typically this  payment to AToS – Please contact any member of the AToS for further clarification if required.

This will ensure, that if for any reason you unfortunately have to cancel the holiday, there is a good possibility (subject to ‘Your’ travel insurance policy T&C’s) you will get a large proportion (if not all) of your holiday payment refunded via ‘Your’ travel insurance provider.
